I use 2 foot lengths of rebar pounded in the ground at a specific angle (painted white on top so I don't trip over them). The block of wood in the back is cut at the correct angle. I put the rebar on it, place my foot at the bottom to keep it tight and hammer it down till it's about 10" above grade. The PVC fits over these.
